Motul Asia Pacific is rolling out an upgraded Track & Trace system, so drivers can check if a bottle is the real deal.

Why now? E-commerce is booming, and unverified third-party marketplaces are making distribution messier.

Here’s how it works. Every bottle gets a refreshed label with a unique QR code. Scan it with your phone and you’ll see whether the product is genuine, plus extra product info.

Note that the system doesn’t cover OEM, co-branded, Chemical, Additive, Care and Essential ranges.

The label packs more protection too: encryption built into the QR code, and a laser hologram that changes with the viewing angle, which makes it hard to copy.

Spotted something dodgy? Report it through the same portal. Motul says this helps it investigate supply chain issues.

The company says it’s about making sure every bottle reaching drivers is genuine.
