Chevy’s that tunes up for X’mas
In probably one of the most interesting tie-ups in the car industry, five Chevrolet models have joined the world-renown London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) to cut an album of Christmas carols.
Calling itself ‘Car-mony’, the additions to the LSO include the following Chevrolet models – a Spark, an Aveo5, two Optras and a Vivant MPV. The album is titled ‘Honk-a-Tonk Christmas’ and it includes well known jingles like ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’, ‘Away In A Manger’ and ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’.
The medley of Christmas favourites is played on the car’s horns, with instrumental support from the LSO’s brass quintet. The tunes can be downloaded at: http://www.chevrolet.co.uk/offers/christmas_car_ollers/ and Chevy says that if it proves popular, it may cut and release a single.
