CITRON DS4: Now available in 3 engine variants - 6-speed automatic, 6-speed manual and 6-speed EGS e-HDI(Diesel)

Cycle & Carriage France Pte Ltd has added 2 new variants to the CITROËN DS4, after first launching it one year ago. Winner of the “Most Beautiful Car of the Year” and “Most Beautiful Interior” during the 26th International Automotive Festival in 2010, the CITROËN DS4 now comes in 3 engine variants – petrol 1.6L THP 155 automatic, petrol 1.6L THP 200 manual and diesel 1.6L e-HDi 115 EGS. All 3 variants are powered by the award-winning 1.6-litre turbo-charged engine. Fitted with a Stop & Start System and an e-HDi micro-hybrid technology that cuts fuel consumption by 15%, the DS4 e-HDi variant will be the second diesel passenger car in the CITROËN range in Singapore after the CITROËN C4 e-HDi, boasting a low carbon emission of only 114g/km, thus qualifying for a $15,000 CEVS rebate. The manual variant emits 149g/km and also qualifies for a $5,000 CEVS rebate. Similar to the recently launched C4 e-HDi, the DS4 e-HDi has also earned the “Airdream” eco-label. The Airdream range is CITROËN’s very own eco-label, started in 2007 to focus on producing vehicles with low CO2 emissions. To receive the “Airdream” label, vehicles must satisfy 3 stringent criteria; 1) emit no more than 140g of CO2 per kilometre; 2) be produced in an ISO 14001 certified plant; 3) are 95% recoverable, which means all steps are taken to recover vehicle materials for energy.

The 6-speed automatic gearbox has replaced the 6-speed petrol Electronic Gearbox System (EGS) in the THP 155 variant. With the 6-speed automatic transmission, CITROËN DS4 drivers can now look forward to a smoother drive and faster acceleration time, combined with CITROËN’s impeccable style they are used to. The new 6-speed automatic gearbox allows drivers to accelerate from 0-100kph in a matter of 8.8 seconds, compared to 9.9 seconds with the EGS in the THP 155 variant. The 6-speed automatic gearbox is also tuned to produce an extra 5kW compared to the EGS, giving a total output of 120kW and 240Nm of maximum torque in the THP 155 variant.

Since its launch in March 2012, the CITROËN DS4 has demonstrated bold decisions in terms of style and design. It was awarded the “Most Beautiful Car of the Year” and “Most Beautiful Interior” during the 26th International Automobile Festival in 2010. Now with the 3 different variants, buyers can choose their favourite “Most Beautiful Car”.
