Defender Expands Line-Up: New Vertex Edition And Six-Seat 110

Defender has expanded its line-up with the introduction of the new Vertex specification, alongside a series of updates designed to offer customers greater choice, improved practicality and enhanced personalisation.

Positioned above the X specification, the new Defender Vertex blends rugged capability with a more premium appearance. It features redesigned front and rear bumpers, a larger grille, 22-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured lower cladding and distinctive yellow accents on the brake calipers and recovery eyes.

The biggest functional upgrade is a new six-seat layout for the Defender 110. Featuring a 2+2+2 configuration with individual Captain Chairs in the second row, the setup improves passenger comfort, rear access and luggage flexibility, making it particularly appealing to families and long-distance travellers.

Defender has also introduced a new Extended Exterior Pack, expanded accessory options and a refreshed colour palette that now includes Namib Orange, inspired by the sand dunes of Namibia.

At the top of the range, the high-performance Defender OCTA gains a revised 4.4-litre twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 producing 540PS and 750Nm, along with a deeper, more distinctive V8 soundtrack.

Technology upgrades include a new AI-powered voice assistant activated by "Hey Land Rover", offering more natural conversations and generative AI-powered responses. A new Technology Pack adds features such as a head-up display, Meridian Surround Sound system and ClearSight rear-view mirror.

The updates reinforce Defender's strategy of broadening its appeal without compromising the off-road capability that defines the iconic 4x4.
