FE: FanBoost poll now open
The 2nd race in the inaugural season of the FIA Formula E championship is just round the corner! The race, which will be held at a street circuit in Putrajaya on the 22nd of November, will see 20 drivers do battle in identical cars. To increase interaction with fans, the organisers included a ‘FanBoost’ feature, which gives drivers a temporary 40bhp boost. As its name suggests, fans will vote on their favourite driver, and the most voted for driver will be allowed to use the said boost for either attacking or defending. For those unfamiliar with the new series, Formula E is essentially an electric single-seater series, aimed at speeding up the development of electric technology for vehicles. The championship will bring teams to run wheel-to-wheel in 10 of the world's leading cities. The first race, which was held in Beijing, was won by Audi’s Lucas Di Grassi, after race leader Nico Prost tangled with Nick Heidfeld on the last corner of the last lap.
