Ferrari has unveiled the Ferrari Luce, the brand’s first fully electric production vehicle.

Presented in Rome, the Luce is built on a bespoke EV platform and features four electric motors, one driving each wheel. Ferrari states the system produces 1,050cv and allows the car to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 310km/h. Estimated driving range is more than 530km.

Power comes from a 122kWh battery paired with an 800V architecture capable of charging at up to 350kW. Ferrari says the Luce was engineered and assembled entirely in-house, including the motors, battery pack and power electronics.

The Luce also becomes Ferrari’s first five-seat model, made possible by its new EV layout. It features four doors, a larger cabin and a claimed luggage capacity of 597 litres, while weighing 2,260kg.

For the design, Ferrari worked with LoveFrom, the design collective founded by Jony Ive and Marc Newson. The Luce adopts a cleaner exterior design with a large glasshouse, floating aerodynamic elements and a simplified cabin layout combining physical controls with OLED displays.

The EV also introduces new chassis and dynamics systems, including active suspension, rear-wheel steering, torque vectoring and Ferrari’s new Vehicle Control Unit. Drivers can adjust power delivery and regenerative braking through steering-wheel-mounted controls.

Ferrari confirmed that the Luce will be covered by an eight-year warranty for key electric powertrain components, alongside the brand’s existing seven-year maintenance programme.
