Other car manufacturers may be looking to cut costs. Ferrari however, has plans to tweak their lineup of models.

The F430 is slated for a redesign during the second half of 2009. It will be receive a new aluminum chassis, a direct-injection engine from the California, and a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

By 2010, a new 599 Fiorano model hard-top convertible will be available. The engine used will be the current unit from the 599 GTB Fiorano, the 6.0-litre V12. In 2011, a replacement for the 612 Scaglietti will follow.

Ferrari also has plans to introduce a new limited-edition model to their lineup.
