Toyota Asia Sharpens Focus On Elite Sport And Community Impact
Toyota’s expanded roster strengthens its commitment to athletes in Asia ahead of the 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games.

Toyota Motor Asia has confirmed its latest Global Team Toyota athlete line-up ahead of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games, reinforcing its long-term investment in athletes across the region.

The seven-member roster spans six countries and includes two new para-athletes joining the programme for the first time.
Indonesia’s Muhammad Fadli Imamuddin headlines the additions. A former professional motorcycle racer, Fadli rebuilt his sporting career in para cycling after a life-changing racing accident in 2015. He has since emerged as one of Indonesia’s leading para-athletes, claiming gold at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games while continuing to mentor young riders through his racing school.
Also joining the line-up is Malaysian para sprinter Muhammad Ammar Aiman Nor Azmi, whose rise through regional and international competition has positioned him among Southeast Asia’s standout para-athletics talents. His recent achievements include gold at the 2022 Asian Para Games and silver at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games.
They join a returning roster featuring some of the region’s most recognisable sporting names, including Carlos Yulo, Kunlavut Vitidsarn, Toh Wei Soong, Ernie Gawilan and Lê Văn Công.
Beyond competition, Toyota continues to position the programme as a platform for wider social impact.
Each athlete will be paired with a Toyota-supported “Dual Hero Project” tied to causes within their communities. Previous initiatives have included inclusive adaptive fashion projects in Singapore and large-scale environmental restoration efforts in the Philippines.
The programme also sits under Toyota’s regional “Move Your World” platform, which frames mobility not simply as movement, but as access, inclusion and opportunity.
As preparations for Aichi-Nagoya 2026 gather pace, Toyota’s latest athlete roster signals a sharper regional focus — one that places equal weight on sporting excellence and the influence athletes can create beyond the podium.
