New 911 Turbo S Lands: 711 bhp And S$1.27m Price Tag

There was no rotating stage, smoke machine or nightclub soundtrack this time. Instead, Porsche Singapore chose a luxury villa at Raffles Sentosa Singapore to unveil the new 911 Turbo S - perhaps a fitting backdrop for a car that has long built its reputation on blending outrageous performance with everyday civility.

Dubbed the ‘House of Turbo’, the launch setting leaned heavily into lifestyle positioning, but the real headline remains the car itself. The new 911 Turbo S is now the most powerful production 911 ever made, packing 711 bhp (523 kW) from a newly developed twin-turbocharged T-Hybrid powertrain.

Performance figures remain firmly in supercar territory. Porsche claims 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 8.4 seconds, and a top speed of 322 km/h. More tellingly, the car lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 min 03.92 sec - around 14 seconds quicker than its predecessor.

Unlike many modern performance hybrids chasing efficiency targets, Porsche says its lightweight 400V T-Hybrid setup was developed primarily for sharper response and outright pace. The system uses electrically assisted turbochargers and a compact 1.9 kWh battery, while keeping the weight gain to just 85 kg over the outgoing model. The turbine and compressor also were specifically designed to meet the requirements of the 911 Turbo S, increasing not only performance but also the responsiveness of the powertrain.

Beyond the added power, Porsche has revised the aerodynamics, widened the rear tyres, fitted its largest-ever ceramic brakes on a two-door model, and introduced electro-hydraulic chassis control as standard.

The new 911 Turbo S is now available for order in Singapore in both Coupé and Cabriolet forms, with prices starting from S$1,273,088 before options.
