Honda Jazz triumphs in Women’s World Car of the Year Awards 2014

The production version of the highly anticipated Acura NSX supercar, successor to the legendary original NSX, will make its world debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show on January 12, 2015. The model will reflect the production design and specifications of the mid-engine Acura supercar that is slated to launch in 2015. To celebrate the impending debut of NSX, Acura released a 30-second teaser video that gives an early glimpse of the production car and the sound of its three-motor, twin-turbocharged Sport Hybrid power unit. “The next-generation NSX will deliver a ‘new sports experience’ true to its heritage and to the supercar concept that originally gave rise to the name NSX,” said Mike Accavitti, Acura division senior vice president and general manager. “The NSX will serve as the ultimate expression of Acura performance that is fueling a reenergised brand.”

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. unveiled, a concept car for an all-new fuel-cell vehicle, the Honda FCV Concept (FCV) and the Honda Power Exporter Concept, a concept model for an external power feeding device that enables AC power output from the FCV with maximum output of 9 kW. The all-new FCV production model that will be based on this concept is scheduled to go on sale in Japan by the end of March 2016 and subsequently in other markets.

After a 10 year hiatus, the NSX is back. Acura unveiled the finished article at NAIAS yesterday. Whilst the exterior design is similar to the concept first showed off in 2013, the mechanical bits underneath the skin have been given quite the update; gone is the concept’s naturally aspirated, transverse-mounted V6, and in its place, is a longitudinally mounted, turbocharged, dry-sump V6 that produces more than 550 horsepower. The engine is then coupled with 3 electric motors to deliver power to all four wheels. The production car is slightly bigger than the concept car as well, standing it at about an inch wider, 0.6 inches taller and 0.8 inches longer in wheelbase. The car’s overall length has been stretched 3.1 inches as well. Several design elements have been altered as well, to keep the hotter turbocharged V6 cooler. The new NSX will cost around US$150,000, or SGD$200407 before COE, making it cheaper than most of its rivals.
