Honda’s new 500hp, 23.5mpg supercar
While numbers and specifications like “500+ brake horsepower” and “naturally-aspirated V10” will cause little squeals of delight amongst NSX fans, another figure turning up seems to be baffling them – the fuel consumption.

With such awesome power outputs expected from its 5.0-litre engine, a 10.0 km/l thirst rating isn’t exactly something which would drop your jaw in the same manner as when you first saw the new NSX concept. Just an example to compare it against, the previous NSX Type-R, which had a 3.2-litre V6, managed 8.6 km/l from its 276hp power plant.
According to Winding Road magazine, while this car is expected to make it for the Tokyo Auto Show, new rumours out of Japan indicate that the bigwigs at Honda set this goal for its engineers.
