Hyundai Scores 10 Wins At 2026 IDEA Awards
Electric micro-mobility concepts, modular cabins and a mobile robot platform headline Hyundai’s latest design success.

Hyundai Motor has picked up 10 honours at the 2026 IDEA Awards, with its latest design haul stretching well beyond conventional car design.
The company received two Gold awards, two Bronze awards and six Finalist recognitions, covering future mobility, robotics, branding, service design, environments and accessories.

The biggest mobility win went to Hyundai’s E3W and E4W electric micro-mobility concepts, which earned Gold in Concepts & Speculative Design.
Inspired by India’s motor-rickshaw, the electric concepts are designed for dense urban environments, combining zero-emission mobility with a barrier-free floor, wheelchair access, flexible passenger and cargo seating and adjustable ride height to handle flooded or uneven roads.
Also among the recognised concepts is Mobile Nap, which turns vehicle downtime into a dedicated space for rest. The system combines specially designed seating with software-controlled sound, temperature, humidity and air quality, with potential applications ranging from office workers to long-distance drivers and shift workers.

Furnished Lounge and Hyundai Add Gear explore more flexible, personalised vehicle interiors, while MobED takes Hyundai into robotics. Its four independently controlled wheels and modular platform are designed to tackle uneven terrain, with potential applications including logistics, inspection, research and filming.

Hyundai also picked up a Gold for the Na Oh Korean Restaurant Book, documenting the creation and philosophy of the Korean restaurant at Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore.
Bronze awards went to RETRACE Magazine, which explores Hyundai’s heritage through models such as the Stellar and Sonata, and Hyundai Hope on Wheels, recognised for its refreshed brand identity.

The remaining Finalist honours cover Na Oh branding, UX Studio Seoul and Hyundai’s customizable MagSafe ID Card Case.
Overall, Hyundai says the 10 recognitions reflect its focus on human-centred design, accessibility, sustainability, wellness and quality of life.
