Internationally renowned photos hit the roads with MINI

Based on the year’s theme, [I]Still / Moving: Photography & Cinema[/I], photographs from the festival featuring cinema icons are featured on MINI cars which will travel around the city. The leading ladies of the silver screen, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, and Brigitte Bardot [I](also known as BB)[/I] will each have a star appearance on their individually customised MINI. The Marilyn, Liz Taylor and BB MINIs can be seen whizzing around town with photographers in tow from 13 to 30 June to play out the festival’s theme Photography & Cinema. The photographs of the leading ladies by Magnum photographers, Eve Arnold, Philippe Halsman and Dennis Stock are part of the exhibition, [I]The Magic of Cinema – A Magnum Photos Exhibition[/I], on display at The Cathay Gallery from 13 June to 20 July.

In addition, two MINIs will feature photographs by French contemporary photographer and filmmaker, Alain Fleischer from his series [I]Raccords[/I], which consists of photographs from films which he has directed. This series is presented at the Singapore Art Museum as part of the exhibition, [I]Alain Fleischer: Time Exposures[/I]. The exhibition is on from 21 June to 2 August.

[I]Month of Photography Asia[/I] is an annual photography festival that celebrates the art of photography. The festival presents six exhibitions in various venues, with MINI being the Official Festival Car.

The festival is on from 13 June to 20 July.
