Kia’s Concept For The 2014 NAIAS Detroit Is The GT4 Stinger

KIA is set to reveal a stunning sports car concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.  The sports car, which was conceived and designed by Kia's California-based team at Irvine (US), is aimed at delivering head-turning looks whilst offering superb driving enjoyment whether on the road or on the track. The concept will be unveiled at Kia's stand at the NAIAS on 13th January.  Further images will be released in due course but full details of the concept will not be available until the NAIAS in January.

Kia Motors this week unveiled the brand's most aggressive concept car ever in Detroit: The GT4 Stinger.  It pushes the boundaries of performance with a rear-drive 2+2 sports car that places man and machine in harmony on the road or track. Under the GT4 Stinger's hood is a tuned version of Kia's proven 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline direct injected (T-GDI) four-cylinder engine putting out a whopping 315hp.  That power is put to the ground via a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels, which are wrapped in 275/35R-20 Pirelli P-Zero performance tires.  Custom 20-inch aluminium center-lock wheels feature carbon fiber inserts for strength and weight reduction.  Tucked inside the massive wheels are Brembo Gran Turismo two-piece 15-inch cross-drilled rotors and 4-piston calipers with plenty of stopping power.

  The  luxurious sports sedan Kia Optima K5 and the 5-seater SUV Kia Sportage, have been refreshed with a new look.  The Kia Optima K5 comes with a fresh new look and a host of convenience and safety features such as Blind Spot Detection and the Kia Sportage features a new 2.0L Nu engine and several additional convenience features such as the flex steer system and full colour supervision cluster. The vehicle's front and rear fascias and the brand's signature tabbed grille have been improved, refining the Optima K5's sculpted, high-end look.  The car's bold stance and aerodynamic shape are further accentuated by updated rear diffusers and a sweeping trunk lid.  It also features striking front LED positioning HID headlamps and four-point LED fog lights, along with clear, newly designed LED rear lamps.
