Lamborghini Teases Revuelto SV With A Record-Breaking Flex

Most cars wait for its debut to make a statement. The Revuelto SV had other plans! Just over a week before the car's public debut, company test driver Marco Mapelli drove it around Germany's Hockenheimring and produced the quickest lap ever recorded there by a road-going production car, finishing in 1 minute 41.6 seconds.

The choice of venue wasn't random. Hockenheimring has long hosted top-tier motorsport, including Formula 1 and DTM, and its combination of fast straights, demanding braking zones and tight corners makes it a serious proving ground for evaluating how a car actually performs, not just how it looks on paper.

Lamborghini's chief executive, Stephan Winkelmann, framed the achievement as evidence that the brand's engineering philosophy produces real, quantifiable results rather than just marketing claims. Mapelli, for his part, described the car as reaching a new level of capability for Lamborghini, crediting the tight coordination between driver and machine for allowing him to drive at the car's absolute limit with confidence.

The Revuelto SV will officially debut on 14 August at The Quail, one of the marquee events of Monterey Car Week. It'll share the stage with two other Lamborghini reveals that week: the US debut of the Urus Performante and the global unveiling of the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage, a special model marking 55 years since the original Miura SV.

Lamborghini, founded in Sant'Agata Bolognese in 1963, currently builds three hybrid model families - the V12 Revuelto, the plug-in hybrid Urus SE, and the V8 Temerario - and sells through a network of 186 dealers spread across 57 countries.
