Land Rover to utilise Jaguar's 3 liter diesel engine

The 3 liter powerplant is actually an enhanced version of the 2.7 liter diesel engine used by the Land Rover Discovery.

Jaguar's 3 liter diesel engine will be fitted to the modified versions of the Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover Sport.

The main difference in their applications is that the powerplant has a twin-turbo configuration when equipped on Jaguars, but will only have a single turbo when used in Land Rovers.

The Land Rover Discovery will receive the version which has 237hp, while the Range Rover Sport will get the 272hp powerplant.
