Lexus Commences Production Of New NX Crossover

Lexus is reshaping SUV design with styling for its new NX that looks more like a sports car than a slab-sided 4x4. The model that marks the company’s entry into the mid-size luxury SUV market makes a big visual statement with muscular curves and agile angles, representing the latest development of Lexus’s L-finesse contemporary design language. The high-impact exterior presents a low, sloping roofline, a cab-forward silhouette, powerfully flared wheel arches and defining bodywork lines that flow directly from the signature Lexus spindle grille. The NX has the most distinctive “face” in the current Lexus line-up, its prominent spindle grille flanked by new LED headlamps and daytime running lights.

Lexus has released a new RX 450h Advance, a model that is even more generously equipped than before with the added luxury of a Mark Levinson premium 7.1 surround sound system as standard and a fine set of new-design machined and shaded 19-inch alloy, wheels, the price tag for the new Advance is unchanged, matching its predecessor. The new RX 450h Advance adopts the successful package pioneered by its predecessor, building on the established Luxury grade with a range of exterior styling features that add further impact to the vehicle’s contemporary looks. These include a deep front bumper with integrated fog lights and LED headlights that incorporate Lexus’s I-AFS auto-adaptive system, moving the lighting beam in line with the steering to give better illumination through bends and at junctions.

Lexus brought its Amazing in Motion campaign to the Kuala Lumpur skyline with STROBE, a spectacular presentation in which advanced lighting technology created the effect of a fast and daring aerial display by a team of suspended acrobats and stunt professionals. The ‘Lightmen’ were positioned on the rooftops of some of the tallest buildings in the Malaysian capital, dressed in custom-made LED suits. These were linked to a purpose-built computer system controlling each LED’s strobe pattern, one by one, creating a breathtaking display of illuminated figures seemingly flying above the city.
