Limited Edition McLarens announced to mark 50th anniversary
To celebrate 50 years of top-notch race winning technology and expertise, the British brand announced that they will be producing limited edition models. These are the McLaren 50 12 and McLaren 50 12C Spider. They will be limited to 100 worldwide; meaning there will be 50 examples of each model.
The McLaren 50 12C and McLaren 50 12C Spider will have styling and specification enhancements produced by McLaren Special Operations(MSO) which is responsible of the bespoke projects. It will be in conjunction with the McLaren Automotive Design team. Some of the enhancements include an optimized front bumper from MSO that provides an increased downforce. The lower section of the bumper is made from carbon fiber while the section above the bumper is a black McLaren heritage badge.
The two models are fitted with a carbon ceramic upgrade with 394x36mm discs at the front while at the rear 380x34mm discs. They have bespoke McLaren 50 Ultra lightweight wheels-19 inch at the front and 20 inch at the rear -with a satin black finishing.
In the interior, the McLaren 50 12C models feature a leather upgrade with a carbon fiber sill panel and floor mats with an anniversary dedication plate on the driver's door. They will be available in three different colors-carbon black, supernova silver or the heritage McLaren Orange.
