Local News: Bumper year in prospect for Ferrari in Singapore
The first deliveries of Ferrari Californias herald significant growth for the Prancing Horse in 2010. Exciting new models, improved customer service and resurgence in interest as Singapore recovers from recession, drives growth for Ferrari’s official importers.

Three brand-new Ferrari California sports cars made a spectacular sight as they awaited their new owners this week at the Leng Kee Road showroom and service centre of Ital Auto Pte Limited. They are the first in a series of new Ferraris which have attracted both new and existing owners to the Komoco Motors subsidiary which took over distribution of the Italian marque last September.
The company has a spectacular line-up of new cars scheduled for delivery in the coming months. The Ferrari California, a convertible GT with retractable hard-top and a front-mounted 460 horsepower V8 engine, which retails for $798,000, will be joined in mid-2010 by the all-new Ferrari 458 Italia, an ultra-high performance mid-engined two-seat coupe. The Ferrari 599 GTB HGTE, a new high-performance derivative of the definitive V-12 coupe, has also recently made its eagerly-anticipated appearance.
Ital Auto is placing a major emphasis on the highest standards of customer service. The company is expanding its after-sales team which already includes six Ferrari-trained staff who have expertly serviced over 100 cars in a brand-new aftersales facility. A number of exciting showroom and ‘on the road’ events are also scheduled for 2010 to allow Ferrari owners to meet, socialise and enjoy their machinery.
“We are 110 percent committed to giving our customers and their cars the very best care and attention” says Ital Auto General Manager Andrew Howes. “For us it is an absolutely vital part of our future success, to retain customers and ensure that they fully enjoy the whole Ferrari ownership experience.”
