Tan Chong Motor launches the 3rd generation Nissan Elgrand 2.5L Highway Star, its premier luxury mobile suite.

In line with its longstanding reputation for excellence, the third-gerneation Elgrand imparts a strong luxury presence and welcoming sense of hospitality and comfort not only for the passengers but also the driver.

The 8-seater interior offers features that are designed specifically for comfort, such as high quality seats, 11 inch electronic retractable monitor that comes with a Private Theatre System.

With that much space, a lot of power is needed to drive the Elgrand and it is suitably equipped with a 2.5 liter,125kW(170PS)/56000 rpm OQR25DE engine that allows responsive acceleration and quick response with its high torque rated at 245Nm/3900rpm.

The Elgrand uses the refined Xtronic CVT-M6 transmission that not only boasts significant fuel efficiency but also give powerful performance through its wide gear range, and low-speed lockup function.

The driver's driving and acceleration control is automatically detected by the Adaptive Shift Control system to provide an optimum driving experience through superior performance and fuel efficiency. To maximise efficiency further, drivers can opt to invoke the ECO Mode function to maximise acceleration, CVT response and programmed CVT transmission schedules that helps to save fuel. Unique to Nissan too is the Smart-rev Control system that maintains constant engine revolution to avoid uneven speed changes and over consumption of fuel.
