Bentley's new flagship saloon replces the aged but majestic Arnage in the range. Judging by the early production car displayed at the launch venue, the Mulsanne certainly has the presence and the magnificence of the stately Arnage. Like the Arnage, the Mulsanne is named after a famous landmark on the legendary Le Mans circuit where Bentley last won in 2003 with the Speed 8. In the Mulsanne's case, its name is adopted from the famous Mulsanne straight at Le Mans.

In pure Bentley flagship tradition, the Mulsanne is powered by a 6.75-litre V8, or six and three quarter litres in Bentley speak. Aided by twin turbochargers, the V8 makes 512bhp and in the true waftability nature of Bentley limos, torque output is a whopping 1020Nm!

The other new model, the Continental Supersports is a true performance powerhouse - 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds, top speed 320km/h thanks to a tweaked 6-litre W12 that makes 30bhp more than the GT Speed and an impressive 78bhp more than the standard GT. The Supersports can be differentiated from lesser models by the bespoke interior with bucket seats and the deletion of rear seats. The exterior features vents on the bonnet, darkened headlamps, black grille inserts and wheels as well as a front bumper with large air intakes.
