Local News: Subaru Introduces The Divalicious Driving Team
The exclusive distributor of Subaru motor vehicles in Singapore, proudly presents the ‘Motor Image Divalicious Driving Team’, Singapore’s first all-female driving group.

To mark the occasion, the team put up an exciting show on an Autokhana track, bringing to life the Subaru All Wheel Drive technology.
The team, made up of three hand-picked individuals by Motor Image, has been training hard over the past several months and putting their skill to the test at events across Southeast Asia, including trade fairs in Phnom Penh in Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
Mr. Glenn Tan, Executive Director, Tan Chong International Ltd said, “The sport of driving has been very much a male-dominated activity, I am hoping that the formation of the Motor Image Divalicious Driving Team will make a difference in changing the stereotypical perception of women as bad drivers. As you will have witnessed today, the girls have demonstrated a higher level of skill-set than the average driver. I'm very proud of them and how they put the Subaru All Wheel Drive Technology to the test."
The girls rose to the challenge at the Singapore Turf Club today and put up a great show that included defensive driving techniques such as evasive lane change and e-braking in the heavy afternoon rain. These demonstrations tested the accuracy and skill of each driver and Subaru's All Wheel Drive capabilities.
Trained by Kenvin Low, a 15-year veteran driving instructor specialising in defensive driving, advanced driving and racing, the girls were taught advanced driving techniques such as slalom driving, chicane manoeuvring and cornering.
The trainings which these girls go through involve a certain level of precision, reflex and timing that most drivers may not be adept with. However, these girls have proven to be very capable through the shows and demonstrations that we have experienced,” said Kenvin.
The Motor Image Divalicious Driving Team made up of Tan Su-Anne, Cheryl Chan and Kuek Zi Yi, was formed in response to the increased local awareness and interest of motorsports. In addition to this rising interest, Motor Image was also inspired to challenge the misconception of females as inferior drivers with the establishment of an all-female driving team.
