Local News: The new Renault Megane is finally here!
Renault finally launched the new Megane this weekend. The new car comes in two variants - the five-door 1.6 and the hot three-door RS.
While the 1.6 model is for those who are looking at a stylish alternative to the likes of the Volkswagen Golf, the Renaultsport Megane RS is the one for petrolheards and hot hatch fans.
Powering the RS is a 2-litre turbocharged motor making 250bhp and 340Nm. The RS will sprint to 100km/h from rest in 6.1 seconds. What should be more impressive though are its roadholding manners. Armed with chassis tuning by Renaultsport, the hardcore Cup chassis with a mechanical LSD and a GTR inspired Renaultsport monitor where you can check out the number of gs' you can pull in a corner, the RS is an enthusiasts' dream.
