Volkswagen, the largest automobile maker in Europe, is one of the fastest-growing car brands in Singapore. In the first half of 2010, 1,861 car buyers made Volkswagen their choice – an 83 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The expanded facility caters to Volkswagen’s growing owner base here, with an aftersales area that is 111 percent larger. There are also double the number of aftersales receptionists and service advisors.
The showroom and service centre can now be accessed from Leng Kee Road as well as Alexandra Road, while the number of parking spaces has been increased by 100 percent.

“Customer service is the main focus of this expansion,” said Dr Zeno Kerschbaumer, the Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Singapore.
“We want to be able to showcase our large model range and make customers feel comfortable in terms of both sales and aftersales. I am confident they will appreciate our investment in people and space.”
The showroom area now has space for up to 26 display cars on a single level. New features include a technology corner, a heritage wall and a dedicated Volkswagen R performance section.

To celebrate the official opening, Volkswagen has launched the highly anticipated Scirocco R. Developed by Volkswagen’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Volkswagen R GmbH, the most powerful Scirocco ever has a 256bhp TSI engine and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 6 seconds.

There are also fantastic offers on all Volkswagen models during the weekend of 17-18 July 2010. Customers can enjoy discounts of up to $17,000, and there will be fun and games for the whole family.
Class 95 DJs The Flying Dutchman and Vernetta Lopez will be broadcasting ‘live’ from the showroom on 17 July.
