A recent report indicates Mercedes-Benz is preparing a coupe version for the GLK.
Known internally as the GLC, the three-door GLK will be based on the second-gen model and is expected to come out sometime in 2016. Apparently Mercedes-Benz will drop the boxy look of the first-gen model in favor of a more stylish and sleeker body which will be more eligible for a three-door coupe.

It will be one of the firm's first models based on a new RWD platform known as MRA. In terms of engine lineup, we should expect to see 2.0- and 2.2-litre engines, while a possible GLC AMG could get a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter producing 462 hp (344 kW).
