Inspired by the victory of the classic Mini at the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally, the limited edition, aptly named "MINI Monte Carlo", will feature distinct sport stripes and the famous #37 sticker on the doors. The racing number "37" was the number of the Mini that won the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964, driven by racing legend Paddy Hopkirk. The MINI Monte Carlo is available in Chilli Red and Mellow Yellow, with a matching interior colour line and special 17-inch white chrome spoked light-alloy rims to complete the distinguished race car look.

The features, which once took the Mini to victory in that historic race in Monte Carlo, remain the basic ingredients of the MINI Cooper today. With its compact exterior dimensions, the MINI Cooper whisks around corners easily, resting solidly on its wide track and long wheelbase.

Another asset the MINI Cooper has inherited is the unmistakable driving experience, which inspired John Cooper to build sports cars of a very different kind more than 40 years ago. It is the sporting performance and go-kart feeling of the MINI Cooper that made the car so popular. While retaining its drive concept, the MINI Cooper comes with the most modern automotive technology within its engine bay and throughout the entire body of the car, ensuring maximum driving pleasure and optimum occupant safety.

With a maximum output of 120 hp from its 1.6-litre engine, the MINI Cooper accelerates to 100 km/h in 10.4 seconds. A wide range of safety features are designed to ensure the highest level of protection for the driver and passengers. These include active safety features such as the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Braking Force Distribution (EBD) and Cornering Brake Control (CBC).
