MINI Tribal – The new MINI Cooper S Character

Ms Cheryl Chiok, General Manger of Trans Eurokars Pte Ltd, said: "This is the first special edition since the launch of the new MINI Cooper S. The performance, sportiness and intoxicating roar of the car’s turbocharged engine undoubtedly deserve a bolder look."

She continued: "With the tribal wing design, we aim to reflect the performance status of the car just as the ancient tribes reflect their social status with tribal tattoos."

With a twin scroll turbocharger that tops at 220km/h on its 1.6 litre engine, the MINI Cooper S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.

A wide range of safety features are designed to ensure the highest level of protection for the driver and passengers. This include active safety features such as the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Braking Force Distribution (EBD) and Cornering Brake Control (CBC).

The MINI Tribal will be in the MINI Habitat showroom on 22nd July, 2009.
