The Jaguar Type 01 Is Bringing Architecture To The Cabin
Jaguar’s first production model under its new creative direction gets an interior designed to be as theatrical as its exterior.

Jaguar has revealed the interior of its upcoming Type 01 electric GT, giving us another look at the brand’s new design direction.

At the centre of the cabin is a full-length spine that runs from front to rear. It gives the interior a strong longitudinal theme while separating the cabin into four distinct areas.
The driving position is deliberately low, with Jaguar aiming for a combination of comfort and confidence. Materials take cues from travertine and textured artisan fabrics, while brass-like finishes and Jaguar leaper motifs add visual drama.

The dashboard itself is slim and clean, with technology integrated into the cabin architecture rather than dominating it.
One example is the ClearSight digital rear-view display, mounted centrally at the base of the windscreen, roughly level with the exterior mirrors.

Jaguar has also hidden storage areas and various technologies around the cabin, with occasional bursts of colour adding some surprise.
The Type 01 will be the first production model built on Jaguar’s dedicated Electric Architecture (JEA) and is positioned as a new-generation four-door luxury GT.

The prototype has appeared at Monterey Car Week wearing a new wrap, with Jaguar also showcasing it at Pebble Beach Concours.
The complete car will make its official debut in New York on 6 October.
