BMW M4 models are characterised by their dynamic performance in both everyday driving and on the racetrack, which is evident in their design. Key features include M-specific elements to optimise cooling and aerodynamics, a large vertical kidney grille with double slats, pronounced wheel arches and flared side sills with a high-gloss black finish. The BMW M4 Competition Coupé with M xDrive features a standard carbon reinforced plastic (CRP) roof. The M4 Competition Convertible with M xDrive offers an open-air driving experience with its soft-top roof. The electric mechanism allows the roof to be operated while driving.
