Of course, the new Mazda 3's interior was always going to be based on its bigger sibling, the Mazda 6.
The styling in general looks more upmarket. One feature that does stand out is the two-tiered dashboard. Seems Mazda has taken a page out of Honda's design book.
Mazda fans will be happy to know that the red backlighting on the instrumentation and other buttons continues with the new model.
