Proton e.MAS 5 Goes On Sale In Singapore

The Proton e.MAS 5 has made its Singapore debut, with prices starting from S$159,988 including guaranteed COE. Customers can place orders now through the brand's Leng Kee Road showroom or online.

The compact EV arrives with proven credentials, having surpassed 10,000 deliveries across overseas markets. It is currently the top-selling EV in China and Malaysia.

Developed for everyday city driving, the e.MAS 5 centres on Proton's VOLTS approach, covering technology, design, cabin space, safety and driving performance.

Singapore buyers get the Premium model, equipped with a 40.16 kWh CATL LFP battery capable of travelling up to 325 km on the WLTP cycle. It supports 30 - 80 per cent DC fast charging in 21 minutes, while V2L functionality and an 11 kW AC onboard charger add extra practicality.

The interior is anchored by a 14.6-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation and live charging information. There's also voice control, a spacious cabin, 32 storage spaces and a useful front boot.

On the safety front, the e.MAS 5 comes standard with six airbags and a suite of driver assistance features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a 360-degree camera.

The SUV also differentiates itself with a rear-wheel-drive layout and rear multi-link suspension, while its 85 kW electric motor delivers responsive performance. A compact 4.95-metre turning radius further boosts its urban-friendly credentials.

Completing the package is a 10-year battery warranty, adding extra reassurance for buyers looking to make the switch to electric mobility.
