SG: 5 hospitalised after pile-up

More than a dozen vehicles were involved in a pile-up along the PIE on Saturday at around 2:30pm. The crash occurred on the Changi Airport bound section of the expressway, after the Paya Lebar Road exit.  The collision resulted in a 3 hour long jam and a 8km tailback, with most of the traffic completely stationary. Three ambulances were sent to aid the injured, of which 2 men and 2 women were sent to Changi General Hospital, while a 2 year old toddler was sent to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. All 5 were conscious in the ambulances. Police investigations are ongoing.Pictures used for illustration purposes only.
