SG: Improved flow at Bedok transport hub

LTA officially opened Bedok's $23 million transport hub on Sunday, and it drew flak almost immediately. Commuters complained of long waiting times of up to 30 to 40 minutes, as buses could not enter the terminus fast enough, caused by a high volume of traffic lights dotted around the roads in close proximity to the interchange, and the reduced number of disembarking bays. Things are looking up for the hub though. Traffic flow has gradually improved, and delays are now down to 15 minutes. The improvement comes after slight alterations to the traffic light timings and bus schedules. Marshals from SBS Transit were also deployed to help guide the buses into the terminus.Picture used for illustration purposes only.
