SG: LTA awards 2 contracts to widen roads
The LTA has recently awarded 2 contracts to Kim Peow Contractors (Private) Limited and Samwoh Corporation Pte. Ltd. repectively. Kim Peow Contractors will be widening the existing Tanan Merah Coast Road, whilst Samwoh will be construction a new road between Tanah Merah Coast Road and Aviation Park Road. It is hoped that the widening of Tanah Merah Coast Road can alleviate its current congestion and cope with the added traffic from the new dual 3-lanes road between Tanah Merah Coast Road and Aviation Park Road, which is located near the eastern coastline of Changi East. The new road will replace Changi Coast Road, and help facilitate Changi Airport Runway 3 and Terminal 5 development works.
