Differing starkly from the iconic original TT launched in 1998, the new third generation TT has more angles than ever. The grille is a hexagonal shape, the head- and taillights are angular and modern, and the overall design still-looking rather fuss-free, clean, and handsome.

Inside, the TT features Audi’s new “Virtual Cockpit”. The dashboard is clutter-free due to the elimination of the large infotainment screen on the centre console, and the integration of the knobs and switches of the climate control into the air vents themselves.

The TFT instrumentation for the driver’s speedometer and tachometer may be enlarged or reduced in size, allowing large spaces for the navigation map and other display functions.

The new TT is based on VW Group's ubiquitous MQB modular-transversal architecture, a move that helps to reduce weight and costs. The TT also features an optional next-generation "magnetic ride" system and adaptive "matrix LED" headlights that swivel before the driver enters the next corner, thanks to predictive navigation data.

Stealing some limelight from the TT at the Audi booth was the facelifted A7 Sportback, sporting upsized alloy wheels and S-Line kit.

The most obvious changes from the outgoing car are the lights, which feature a more angular design up front and new graphics at both ends, giving the car a more aggressive stance. Also, the newer A7 features a sharper and more angular design cues all-round.

Inside, the Multi Media Interface (MMI) has been updated to the latest version, the engines now all meet Euro 6 emission standards, and tweaks have been made to the transmission.

The latest top-of-the-line A7 Sportback 3.0 TFSI S-Line will be available from $389,800, while more pocket-friendly versions will cost from around $310,000. The new TT, in the 2.0-litre turbocharged quattro guise, will be available from $265,600.
