SG: Silver Zone at Jurong West Complete

LTA has finished the construction of the Silver Zone at Jurong West Street 52! The scheme will see the addition of senior-friendly road safety features to the estate, thus making it safer for the aged to use the roads. These features include the installation of senior-friendly road safety features customised to site conditions, signs and road markings to remind motorists to slow down and look out for pedestrians. Signage urging senior pedestrians to exercise greater care when crossing the road has been put up as well. The first Silver Zone scheme was initially announced in March of 2014, and a pilot programme was launched in Bukit Merah View last October.
