SG: Trains to be slowed down along North-South and East-West lines.
Visibility has been significantly reduced as a result of the haze caused by the Indonesian forest fires. To keep things safe and in control, SMRT has decided to reduce train speeds on the North-South and East-West lines. The news was broken to the locals via Facebook. In the post, SMRT has said that safety of the passengers was their top concern. As a result of the reduced speeds, SMRT has advised their commuters to cater for more travelling time.
