Globally, BMW Motorrad has been experiencing an upward trend, reaching an all-time high of 100,217 units sold for the first nine months of 2014, which is an increase of 7.6% year-on-year (previous year: 93,154 units). The strong growth of BMW Motorrad is attributed to positive market developments worldwide, as well as the growing popularity of its model range, including top-selling models like the BMW R 1200 GS and the BMW R 1200 GS Adventure.

BMW Motorrad clearly intends to remain on course for growth in the upcoming season with exciting new models. One such highlight is the R 1200 RS, a new water-cooled boxer model, which was recently unveiled at the motorcycle trade fair INTERMOT in Cologne.
