
While the exact launch date of the new Hyundai i30 is yet to be decided, local Hyundai distributor, Komoco Motors has confirmed that the new i30 will be launched this year.
Since its global launch, the Korean hatchback has already been named ‘Car of the Year 2012’ in the United Kingdom; with numerous accolades for its stylish design, improved build quality and value for money.
A representative from Komoco Motors shared with OneShift that the company will be bring in the 1.6-litre MPI (Multi-point Injection) i30 for Singapore.
The car’s 1.6-litre engine will be capable of 128bhp (or 130PS) with 157Nm of torque. Paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox, the i30 will be able to make 0-100km/h in 11.5 seconds with a 192km/h top speed. Fuel economy is published at 14.7km/L.
