SsangYong Motor To Launch The Stavic, Singapore’s First MPV That Can Seat Up To 9 Adults Comfortably

[B]Performance[/B]
The Stavic’s 3199cc 6-cylinder inline engine churns out a very generous amount of torque – 312Nm is available at 4800rpm. Mated to the engine is a T-Tronic 5-speed Automatic Transmission that ensures smooth power delivery and optimal fuel consumption.

Employing the best suspension available, the Stavic – with its Smart 4WD system, superior approach and departure angle exceeding 18.7 degrees and a small turning radius of 5.8m – offers excellent off road capability that is superior to many competitors of similar class.

[B]Safety[/B]
The Stavic is built on a monocoque body with a 2-piece built-in frame. To enhance safety, there is a host of top-of-the-line equipment such as:
• Electronic Stability Programme (ESP)
• Brake Assist System (BAS)
• Active Rollover Protection (ARP)

[B]Convenience & Comfort[/B]
The primary purpose of an MPV is to ‘move people’. The Stavic does not disappoint; indeed, it is aptly termed ‘Space on the Move’ and exceeds expectations by being the first MPV to seat 9 adults comfortably, with space for luggage. The alternative 7-seater boasts a huge luggage space not found in any other MPV here. With its multi-configurable seating, even more space may be liberated when required.

The Stavic’s electronically controlled air-conditioning climate control system with roof ventilation, rear control unit and air quality control is more than sufficient to keep passengers cool and cosy. [B]The Ssangyong & Power98FM SuperSqueeze[/B]
To raise public awareness for the Stavic as well as to highlight its enormous carrying capacity, the local distributor, Ssangyong Motor (S) Pte Ltd, has tied up with radio station Power98FM to host a roadshow and challenge from 26 to 27 November 2005 right in the heart of Orchard Road (open area outside Hello Singtel). Participating teams will have to squeeze as many adults as they can into the Stavic, and the team that manages to squeeze the most number of adults will walk away with the grand prize of $10,000.
