Stamford Tyres Active Safety Driver Training

Stamford Tyres Active Safety Driver Training

Nearly 30 drivers pushed the limits of their ability, cars included, at the Nusajaya Flight Park in Johor Baru today. With the aid of Falken instructors like Leslie Chang, Terence Soh, Joseph Tan, Teck Wee and not forgetting our best drifter, Jansen Tan, drivers were given a chance to push the limits of their car's handling capabilities.

Including students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) motoring club, participants learnt the proper way to steer clear of danger.

They practiced proper steering techniques, gained a better understanding of their own car's vehicle dynamics and most importantly, they learnt how to control their cars to aid accident avoidance.

When all was said and done, participants were treated to a drift ride with Singapore's number 1 drifter, (also ranked third in last year's D1 Grand Prix in Malaysia) Jensen Tan.

They also had the chance to pit their skills against the clock through various set gymkhana courses, where they competed to set the best possible time.

The highlight of the day came when we spotted a driver learning reverse flicks in his totally stock Hyundai Trajet MPV, that was equipped with natural gas as fuel!
