The calm before the storm
The local weather reports have been buzzing about the hazy weather recently but the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) instead will be hit by a storm this weekend.

Dubbed the Super GT, already 50 shipping containers have arrived this morning in preparation of the impending occasion.
According to SIC Chief Operations Officer Kumarasamy Chellappan, they have been planning for this for weeks already.
"The delivery team have been doing this for years now and with some special arrangements it only takes a couple of hours for the shipping containers holding the cars, parts and tools for the Super GT racing teams to get from the point of arrival into Port Klang to track site."
He added that it would take the whole package 12 to 15 days if it was shipped normally and at least a day or two to clear the port.
"Handling this many shipping containers is not a small task, we have to coordinate in such a way that when it arrives here it should be set according to the team’s allocated pit thus it takes a small army of workers to get the job done."
33 teams including ThunderAsia Racing will be blazing around the circuit for 54 laps on Sunday 21 June.
There will also be supporting races from Formula V6 Asia, GT3 Asia and Aston Martin Cup Asia.
In between races, motorsports fans will also be treated with off-track entertainment with appearances of the race queens Sana and Nana and the other race queens accompanying the teams.
On top of that, there will also be drift demos, GT look-a-like cars on display and performance by Dragon Red.
Parents with children can bring their kids for the Kids Pit Walk programme on Saturday after the second qualifying session. This free Pit Walkabout offer is limited to the first 1000 kids along with their parents.
Tickets for the Main Grandstand can be purchased at RM100. SIC is also offering a special family package at RM250 for four Main Grandstand tickets. Admission is free for children seven years old and below.
Passes for Sunday's Pit Walkabout and Circuit Safari are sold at RM100 each, while parking charges for bikes are RM2, cars at RM5 and buses at RM20.
