Mercedes-Benz Singapore has introduced the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series, the first two-seater in the brand’s history. Building on the success of the S-Class, GLS and EQS SUV, the launch marks another step in Mercedes-Maybach’s expansion in Singapore since 2022.

The SL 680 Monogram Series embodies elegance through two design themes: White Ambience, which contrasts obsidian black with opalite white magno, and Red Ambience, which pairs obsidian black with a new garnet red metallic finish that offers a rich, deep effect. Inside, crystal white Nappa leather creates a spacious feel while retaining Maybach’s signature cocooning comfort. Floral seat patterns, chrome accents and refined upholstery highlight the craftsmanship.

It will stand out with an illuminated chrome A-shaped grille, rose gold headlight details and a bonnet featuring the upright Mercedes star and chrome fin. Chrome highlights continue on the windscreen and side trim. A black fabric soft top is patterned with the Maybach motif. An aerodynamic double scoop behind the seats reinforces its sporty identity, complemented by 21-inch forged wheels in various designs. Maybach multi-spoke forged wheels is an option (S$34,400), while MANUFAKTUR Exclusive Paintwork (S$68,000) can help to nail down your favourite tone in the colour spectrum.

There’s a bonnet option in obsidian black with a graphite grey Maybach pattern, produced using the new PixelPaint process. This intricate method combines traditional hand-finishing with inkjet-inspired technology, applying microscopic paint drops with extreme precision. Multiple layers of clear lacquer, each sanded by hand, create a deep, refined effect. PixelPaint allows customised designs without masking, while reducing waste and emissions.

Extensive insulation, including acoustic fleeces, foams and aluminium butyl layers reduce road noise, while a specially developed exhaust system with recyclable fibreglass inlays further softens sound.

On the performance front, its semi-active, hydraulic roll-stabilised suspension, softer springs and advanced elastokinematics absorb bumps and cornering forces. It’s powered by a 4.0-litre twin turbo engine producing 585hp and 800Nm. Paired with a 9G-TRONIC transmission, it features 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, rear-axle locking differential and rear-axle steering. Four driving modes, Comfort, Maybach, Sport and Individual, allow drivers to tailor the experience from relaxed cruising to sporty performance. 0-100km/h is dispatched in 4.1 seconds, shooting to a top speed of 260km/h.
