Toyota now involved in drag racing Down Under
When it comes to sheer power, no other motor sport beats drag racing. Toyota Racing Development is at home in all sorts of motor sports and has now unveiled a drag racer, the TRD Aurion Pro-Factory Xtreme (Pro-FX).
The TRD Aurion Pro-FX is capable of reaching a top speed of over 350 km/h and can go from standstill to 100 km/h in under 1 second with its 1740bhp of power from the Toyota six-cylinder turbocharged engine. Former Australian champion Tony Wedlock pilots the monster.
Toyota Australia motorsport manager Todd Connolly said, "The unveiling of the Ultimate Motorsport TRD Aurion Pro-FX takes us to a whole new level - this car has performance and excitement by the bucket-load.”
