UK: Classic car enthusiast dies after mini collides with Mustang.

A classic car enthusiast was killed when his classic Mini collided with a Ford Mustang on the track. Christian Devereux, from Chiswick in London, was taking part in a historic touring cars race at Donington Park, Leicestershire when the fatal accident occurred. The incident, which took place at around 4.30pm UK time last Sunday, was so severe that the event was red flagged and stopped. According to the representatives of the Donington Park circuit, the club that organised the race, the HSCC, Donington Park Racing Limited, along with the circuit's medical and emergency services, will be assisting Police and the Motor Sports Association to deternube the cause of the accident. The statement from organisers said Mr Devereux had succumbed to injuries. The race was part of the Donington Historic Festival, which has been running over the weekend. The event has attracted hundreds of visitors from around Britain.
