Caltex raised pump prices at 9am on Thursday, followed by Singapore Petroleum Company at 3pm.

Petrol prices increased three cents while diesel increased 10 cents per litre. With the rise, petrol now cost as high as $2.336 and diesel at a whooping $1.763 per litre.

The latest increase, though not surprising, came on the aftermath of oil prices hitting above US$125 a barrel last week. This is the fourth consecutive climb since last month.

The other oil companies - Shell and ExxonMobil - are expected to follow soon.
