US :DeltaWing to produce road car

DeltaWing first unveiled their wild race car a few years back in a partnership with Nissan. Fast forward a few years, and DeltaWing has plans to put that futuristic design into a road car. Unlike your typical Le Mans racer, it has a narrow nose. It operates on the concept of concentrating the bulk of the weight, drag and aero efficienct on the rear end of the car for increased efficiency. It is a formula that has worked; despite having half the power and weight of its competitors, it posts similar laptimes. The narrow-front architecture be a key element in all of their road cars. The first vehicle in the pipeline will be a two seater GT car. It will be powered by a turbocharged four banger, which will be capable of developing 350bhp, and will cost potential owners $60,000 to buy. The basic platform will eventually be made to fit a four seater family saloon, and also a GT race car, with a huge variety of options when it comes to its powertrain.
