US: Paul Walker from Fast and Furious dead
BREAKING NEWS. Paul Walker was killed in a fiery car crash in Santa Clarita (south of Los Angeles) at 3:30pm (local time: 7:30am today) yesterday while riding as a passenger in a Porsche Carrera GT. The actor was made famous by the wildly popular Fast and Furious movie franchise. Paul was riding in his friend's 612bhp V10 Porsche supercar when the driver reportedly lost control and slammed into a telephone pole. The car was engulfed in flames within minutes and friends at the scene went through several fire extinguishers trying to put the fire out to no avail. His official facebook page and twitter accounts have confirmed the actor's death. He was 40.
The actor starred in all six Fast and Furious movies right from the start as Brian O'Connor. The FBI agent turned street racer. Paul was just filming the seventh installment to the FF franchise just before his death.
In the movies, the character he played had a penchant for fast cars, especially the Nissan R34 Skyline GTR where he was often seen driving in the movies.
It isn't clear at this time if filming has finished for Fast and Furious 7 or what will happen to the franchise with the loss of the lead character. For now, fans of the movies and the actor are still shocked at news of his sudden passing.
The actor is survived by his 15 year old daughter, Meadow.
