Jaguar XFR 5.0 Review: Faster Pussycat
Jaguar has shoehorned a 510bhp supercharged V8 in the XF saloon. Does it go as well as it sounds on paper?

The XFR is suitably equipped to pamper its driver and occupants. Standard equipment include cruise control, two-zone climate control, rain sensor, adaptive HID headlamps, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera and last but not least, the superb sounding Bowers & Wilkins high end audio system with iPod and USB ports. Surprisingly though, a sat nav system is not a standard feature.
With a sticker price of $380,000, the XFR is significantly cheaper than its 500bhp saloon rivals like the $450,000 M5 and the $468,000 RS 6. Yes, it is simpler and less sophisticated than the mentioned pair but the XFR hardly loses out when it comes to sheer grunt. But like every car out there, it’s not perfect – it can certainly do with more aural stimulation. Come on Jaguar, bring back the sound of the old supercharged V8!
