5.   Make a CD of Singapore’s National Day Songs

Thanks to the wonders of Youtube, you can relive every single National Day song you remember from your childhood.

Using a youtube-to-mp3 convertor website, compile all of them into a thumbdrive that you can plug and play in your car .

And then over the weekend, whereever you go in the car, you'll have the perfect National Day soundtrack to sing along with your kids to.

6.
Draw a SG50 wish using your GPS

This is one to do with the kids! Most cars now come with a Global Position Satellite navigation system. Or at least, your smart phone will have one.

If you have software that can track where you’ve been, you can recreate a giant "Happy SG50", or whatever congratulatory message you want to send, by driving through the streets of Singapore and tracking your route. It’ll be like skywriting, only much geekier!

7.   Drive down a heritage trail

The Singapore Heritage Festival 2015 ran from 17 April to 18 May, but their Heritage Trails are still available. Choose from a vast array of trails to explore, such as the National Monuments Trail, which guides you and your family on a journey down a list of 70 destinations of historical importance spread throughout Singapore.

Or, drive down to places designated as places close to Singaporeans’ hearts in the SG50 initiative, SG Heart Maps.

8.   Go Musuem hopping

To enable Singaporeans to spend a memorable weekend with friends and family, several attractions and facilities have initiated discounted or free admission for Singaporeans over the Jubilee Weekend.

These are open to all for free from 7 to 10 August: National Museum of Singapore, Asian Civilisations Museum, Indian Heritage Centre, Peranakan Museum, Singapore Philatelic Museum, Reflections at Bukit Chandu, Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, Malay Heritage Centre, Sports Museum, Civil Defence Heritage Gallery, Singapore City Gallery, Marina Barrage Sustainable Singapore Gallery and Newater Visitor Centre.

And from 7 to 9 August, Singaporeans and Permanent residents can enjoy free admission to the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands. I bet you never knew we have so many musuems in Singapore!

9.   Make Babies!

Our flagging birth rate has been the talk of the nation for long enough. If you really care about this country and its future, do your duty and give it the precious gift of life!

How is this something you can celebrate using your car? Apparently, according to a The New Paper report, as long as the act is visible to the public, you can be prosecuted. I guess what I’m saying is, that’s what car curtains were really invented for.

10.   Buy a new car!

I can think of no better way to celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday than, as the nation with the most expensive cars in the world, buying a new car! As monitored via our website, COE Prices have been on the downwards trend, and it won’t be long before they bottom out. So with an eye on helping the economy out – buy a new car today! You can start by browsing our new car guide!

Or, if you're feeling spendy, how about this one-of-a-kind bespoke Rolls Royce? That would truly be a celebration of your love for Singapore!
